Terengganu has a rich tapestry of Malay culture and heritage, which is ever present and continues to influence much of her people’s way of life while adapting to modernization. The charms and warmth are the attraction by itself. The richness and distinctiveness of her culture and her prevailing unique heritage are amazing. It is here in Terengganu that Islam was officially accepted much earlier than any other communities. Commercial and cultural links with its regional neighbours enabled Terengganu to adapt and coalesce to create an identity of its own. It is regarded as the cradle of Malay civilization where the experience of adaptability has enhanced its own originality and identity.
